Study demonstrating 75 percent reduction in operator radiation exposure published in Medical Physics

PHILADELPHIA, PA – March 31, 2016 – ControlRad announced that definitive results from an in vivo evaluation of its proprietary solution to considerably reduce patient and medical staff exposure to ionizing radiation during fluoroscopically guided interventional procedures (FGIP) have been published in the peer-reviewed journal Medical Physics. 1


PHILADELPHIA, PA, December 7th, 2015 – Dr. Stephen Balter from Columbia University in NYC presented at the 2015 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) data on an in‐vivo study demonstrating that ControlRad Systems’ radiation dose reducing technology objectively reduced KAP and operator irradiation by 75%. The technology uses state‐of‐the‐art eye‐tracking technology to move semi‐transparent filters in real‐time based on the physician’s gaze. The study was performed at the CRF Skirball Center for Innovation.
